HOUR OF CODE

This year at Edward Wenzlaff education center we participated in the hour of code event on 12-7-15.
The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries.

Facts:
191,035 Hour of Code events happen around the world.
Over 100M students have tried an Hour of Code.

In my contemporary media class we participated by choosing a game we wanted to learn Javascript in. The tutorial I picked was the Minecraft tutorial for an hour and completed a drag and drop code to make the character move which taught me the basics of  Javascript coding.

Overall I learned how to use basic code to make Steve move throughout out the map to collect materials. I see the future of coding being used to program anything that needs a computer to operate and I feel that coding is inevitable and I will be a part of this working class of coders.
